The reasonably priced tire warmer for sports drivers, who on the one hand does not necessarily need the elaborate KLS carbon heating technology of the "comp" or "pro-X" types, but on the other hand does not want to do without the usual KLS quality and uniform heating of the tires.
The "sport" model has a heating fabric specially developed by KLS. If one speaks of carbon fiber fabric of intervals of the heating elements of 1-2mm, these distances are at sport about 8mm. Although it does not quite reach the performance of our carbon fiber technology in terms of heat-up time and uniformity, it is nevertheless clearly superior to other products with the usual silicone heating wires. In these, the distances of the heating wires are usually in the range of> 25mm!
Our heating conductor for the sport model is a metal-fiberglass-Kevlar construction, which, in addition to the highest degree of uniformity, is also distinguished by its outstanding mechanical strength. This may be assumed here also from a very long life.
The sport also uses a precision thermostat with ultra-low regulation hysteresis. The target temperature is 85 ° C.
At 20 ° C ambient temperature approx. 35 minutes at 85 ° C tire temperature and approx. 40 ° C rim temperature.
Just like the "comp", the "sport" is equipped with a red indicator LED. The LED indicates the active heating mode (LED = on) or the regulating action of the thermostat (thermostat off = LED off).
A central hook-and-loop strap and elastic bands on the side allow quick and easy assembly and disassembly. For fixation on the tire, our tension spring incorporated in the tire warmer (protected by a registered design!) Has proven itself. The fumbling threading a cross-strap through the rims deleted.
The power supply is via a 1.8m long connection cable with Euro plug.
