The functional principle of a switch (semi) automaton can be described in a simplified way as follows:
The movement of the gear lever when upshifting with a sequential gearbox, is automatically (!) Coupled with a removal of the load (= engine power). As a result, a completely "powerless" gear change can be realized without gas take-off and without clutch actuation. As soon as the gear is changed, the load (= engine) is automatically switched on again.
Sounds relatively simple, a "side effects" interruption of the ignition, however, requires some effort.

The KLS automatic switchgear has been technically designed for the highest quality, with maximum operational safety and was designed for the simplest installation, operation and adjustment.
The high-speed SENSORBOX is stable and insensitive to vibration and synchronizes the respective gear mechanism with the electronics of the automatic switch. It is designed for shortest switching times and has two inductive, absolutely dirt and water-insensitive sensors for highest possible operational safety, switching accuracy and switching speed. One sensor for the beginning, the second sensor for the end of the ignition interruption
With the MQS automatic switch, the LEDs are red / green for the exact adjustment of the "STOP" or "RESTART" switching points of the red "MQS" sensor box and enables their exact matching to the respective gearbox. The control takes place via the gearshift shaft of the sensor box coupled to the gearshift shaft. Both switching points can be adjusted on the vehicle without disassembly of the sensor box each infinitely adjustable by means of adjusting screws and the LED's. This means that the faster the shift lever is actuated, the shorter the ignition interruption: the prerequisite for precise and fast shifting! The sensor box also ensures that the ignition is interrupted only when shifting up the gearbox.Consisting of 15 super bright LEDs with low power consumption but enormous luminosity. The signal is thus perceived from the corner of the eye, so that the attention of the driver is not affected. Available in yellow or red. Absolutely insensitive to vibrations and wetness. Easy installation in the field of vision of the driver.
The installation of the MQS is possible with the attached detailed installation and operating instructions quickly, easily and without special knowledge. There are thus no additional costs or complex conversions.
All necessary elements and add-on parts are included in the scope of delivery except for vehicle-specific retaining plates for the sensor box.
The necessary simple mounting brackets for the sensor box can be sawed and filed by any "average" talented screwdriver. In the picture on the right, you can see how easy these parts usually look with the help of some installation examples.
Mechanically:
The sensor box is fastened to the engine or vehicle frame at a suitable point via the bracket and rubber compensation element, see right. It is controlled by an additional lever mounted on the transmission selector shaft. A complex conversion of the shift lever is not required!
electrical:
With reverse polarity-proof, waterproof special plugs, the components "electronics box", "sensor box" and "ON / OFF switch" are interconnected.
The electrical connection is made to the on-board battery, the 12V supply of the CDI or, if necessary, to a separate 12V battery.
The connection to the ignition coil (s) is ensured by contact-safe flat connectors.
The adjustment of the MQS is just as easy and described in detail and easy to understand in the enclosed instructions.
